Ring the Belle's

Hello there.

I thought it was about time I introduced myself as the new face of the Bridal Boot Fair. Charlie and Emily very kindly passed me the Boot Fair baton earlier this year and I am loving getting organised for my first one, Belle's Bridal Boot Fair.

I have a new venue and a new feel for the event but's it's still very much how Charlie and Emily started it and is still focused on up cycling weddings and giving couple-to-be a chance to get their hands on fantastic bargains which have been used only once.

One of the most exciting changes is that we are introducing the 'MAKE your Fabulous Wedding' area. This will be ideal for brides-to-be looking for ways to save money by making their own bits and bobs, we will have a button hole workshop, do your bridesmaids vintage make-up, and a bunting workshop, with more to be confirmed.

The new venue is in the heart of Hove, The Ralli Hall, opposite the station on the corner of Denmark Villas, it's a beautiful space and lends itself well to all the lovely things we'll have inside. The wonderful Jamqueen will be selling cakes and tea for you to warm up with too.

I am looking for more brides for the February 3rd event and tables are only £15, all you have to do it e-mail me kelly@bellesevents.co.uk or visit the site for more info bellesevents.co.uk/belles-bridal-boot-fair.

I am also looking for wedding suppliers that might have end of line products they want to sell on at bargain prices, anything from props to dresses, vases to drink baths. If you have something to sell, book now!

Please note that this blog will be closing shortly as we have our own blog at bellesevents.co.uk/belles-blog/

Thanks all,
Kelly x

Handmade Wedding and Bridesmaid Dresses by Dominico Kuanang

Karina came to the wedding fayre in March and didnt manage to sell her dresses, so we thought we'd give her an opportunity to advertise them here. Here's what she has to say about the dresses:

I don't have any great shots of the bridesmaid dresses unfortunately. Although my girls were pregnant at the time, the dresses were hand made by Dominico Kuanang in Brighton (as was my dress) and he made sure the panels were easy to take in so they could be worn post-maternity!

Details of my wedding dress: Dress size 10 with lace up back so slightly adjustable but I wouldn't say 12. Silk organza layers, very lightweight, great for dancing and warm weather. A ribbon tie under the skirts to attach to your wrist for dancing. I'm 5'5'' and wore 2-3inch heels.

Bridesmaid dress 1: size 14/16 100% silk two-tone olive green& pink. Puff skirt. Difficult to describe!
Bridesmaid dress 2: size 10 100% silk two-tone olive green& pink with puff skirt.

For more details email Karina.

Brighton Bridal Boot Fayre 2

Well, finally - here a few snaps courtesy of the gorgeous Andrew JR Squires Photography of the Brighton Bridal Boot Fayre 2! What a day it was... We were blessed with beautiful weather which meant that people came out in their droves to see us. We were overwhelmed with the amount of people who joined us for the day - so many in fact that we had to stop people coming in at one point - sorry about that guys, we'll make sure we stagger it next time!

There was an abundance of dresses, shoes, accessories, table decs and nick nacks - loads of stuff got snapped up.

The day really wouldn't have been possible without our gorgeous brides and grooms who turned out with all their beautiful wedding gear and of course the wonderful businesses who held tie it all together - thanks guys!.

And we also had an army of helpers - Kate, Di, James, Andy, Rachel, Lucie and Sophie without whom the day would have fallen apart! We hope you enjoyed the free tea and coffee and of course the super duper cakes which we spent hours baking ;)

We're hoping to keep growing the boot fayre - so next time we'll have even more brides and grooms selling their pre-loved wedding bits and bobs... so watch this space!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Love Charlie and Emily xxxx

Beautiful Ellis Bridal Gown for sale

Fariba and her gorgeous hubby came along to the Brighton Bridal boot Fayre on Saturday with some of their pre-loved things from their gorgeous wedding. Fariba's stunning Ellis Bridal Gown is available to buy for just £400!! It's a size twelve and has been altered slightly with the tulle cap sleeve, but these can easily be removed if preferred. The dress needs to be dry cleaned - but this is reflected in the price. The original RRP is £1250. If you are interested in finding out more then contact Fariba directly: Faribasamandi@yahoo.co.uk

Thank you!

A huge thank you to everyone that came along to and helped to make the Brighton Bridal Boot Fayre a success. Lots of our brides were able to sell the majority of their stuff on to other brides and grooms to be for their big days!

We are hoping to grow the fayre over time, but of course it can only be a success with brides and grooms selling on their second hand bits and bobs. So any one who is getting married in the next few months who would be interested in having a table at the next boot fayre, please get in touch!

Love Charlie and Emily xx
